Since 2008, Govsphere, a SBA-certified HUBZone Small Business, has collaborated with the FBI’s National Assets Response Unit (NARU) to provide lifecycle software development, systems integration, and enterprise technical support for the Render Safe Collaboration Tool. RSCT is a secure, web enabled, and modular collaboration platform that provides a framework for enabling “real-time” online communications. Its primary components include secure instant messaging, secure chat, desktop and application sharing, audio/video web conferencing, collaborative document editing, XMPP-based messaging for alerts and notifications, and a geospatial mapping application that supports integration with the ESRI ArcGIS Product Suite and Google Earth Enterprise server.
Govsphere provides program management support, lifecycle requirements validation, graphical user interface (GUI) design, software development, testing and quality assurance, training, and on-site implementation support for the RSCT platform. Specifically, Govsphere has combined a non-proprietary, open source web portal with industry standard, web-based collaboration components that are tailored to meet the specific requirements of NARU and its mission partners across other government agencies. As a result, Govsphere continutes to deliver a comprehensive and secure real-time collaboration platform to support the Render Safe mission.
Today, the RSCT platform is successfully deployed on the SIPRNET network with end users across multiple government agencies including the FBI and its mission partners. RSCT provides real-time connectivity at the command post, the incident site, and vehicles while in transit. Additionally, RSCT has the capability to support SIPRNET-based tablets and mobile devices.
