Govsphere, Inc. today announced that the FBI has awarded the firm a contract to support the design, development, and implementation of a next-generation, secure real-time web collaboration and virtual workspace system. Govsphere partnered with CollabWorx, a provider of secure real-time collaboration software, to win the contract and was selected over competing proposals from Adobe, IBM, and other global firms. The team anticipates that the implementation of their patented, cutting-edge technology collaboration platform has the potential to transform the way that the business of government is conducted in the future.

In conjunction with the scope of work, CollabWorx will provide software engineering support for its Secure Real-Time Collaboration (SRTC) platform that includes both asynchronous and synchronous “real-time” collaboration. The SRTC platform includes capabilities such as multi-channel audio, high-definition video, virtual whiteboard, presence awareness, and document management. Additionally, Govsphere will provide program management, systems integration, end-user training, information assurance support, and technical documentation for the project.
